Core Values

I got to thinking about core values this weekend and how often do we as individuals stick to our core value system when it comes to making a difficult decision. And how often do we even know what our core values are. It is highly important to be aware of what values are important to you as this reflects the very important decisions you make in life such as your choice of job, who you marry, where you will live, etc.

Try the rocking chair exercise:

-Imagine you are in your old age and you are resting in your rocking chair

-As you look back on your life what do you see?

-What are the highlights of your life? What do you want to see there?

-Whose lives have you touched?

-What difference have you made?

-What are you proud of?

This exercise can help you to figure out what direction you want you life to head in and what your core values are.
